WEIGHT CLASS CHANGES

Weight class changes can be made through Wednesday, October 20, 2021 9:00 PM for no additional charge by e-mailing btcwrestlingusa@gmail.com.  Please note the tournament, the wrestler's full name, and the age/weight class you wish to move to.  Your weight class change is not official until you receive a confirmation e-mail from the Tournament Director via btcwrestlingusa@gmail.com.  Weight changes after October 20th can be made at the scale for a fee of $20 (Cash Only)

LOCATION

BTC is excited to partner with the Highlands Sports Complex for our BTC Power Series!  Wrestling will be held at the Highlands Sports Complex located at 225 McCormick Way, Triadelphia, WV 26059.  This amazing facility provides us with free parking, a generously sized competition area, plenty of space for parents, coaches & fans, an on-site cafe, and an arcade and climbing wall for extra fun for the whole family.

Unlimited spectators permitted to attend.  All spectators must adhere to current state and county COVID-19 protocols including face coverings and social distancing if in effect.  Bag Chairs recommended.

AGE DIVISIONS, WEIGHT CLASSES & PERIOD LENGTHS

Age as of 12/31/2021.  One pound (1lb) weight allowance 6U, 8U, 10U and 12U divisions.  Two pound (2lb) weight allowance in 15U division.  Three pound (3lb) weight allowance in high school division.

Open division is for wrestlers of all experience levels.  The Super Novice division is for wrestlers who will be competing in their first, second or third year in the 2021-22 season.  Super Novice eligible wrestlers may choose to compete in the Open division if preferred, and can also double-bracket in the Super Novice & Open divisions.

WEIGH-INS

All weigh-ins will be conducted at the Highlands Sports Complex on Saturday, October 30th.  If wrestling in multiple sessions, you only need to weigh-in for your first session.​

​7-9am: Session I Wrestlers Mandatory; Session II/III Wrestlers Welcome

​

10-11am: Session II and III Wrestlers

​

11am-Noon: Session III Wrestlers Only

​

• WALK-IN REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED

  • Single Bracket Entry: $50

  • Second Bracket Entry: $30

​RULES

• Open to male and female wrestlers. 

• Brackets will be double-elimination or round-robin depending on number of entries.

• Tournament director reserves the right to combine weight classes if needed.

• Headgear is optional; however highly recommended. 

• All wrestlers must make weight in a competition singlet.

• Birth certificates must be available if requested via age challenge. 

• College out-of-bounds.  

• Modified scholastic rules used for all divisions.  Referee decisions final. Absolutely no arguing with referees or abuse of referees will be tolerated.

AWARDS

The top 4 Placewinners each each division/age/weight class will receive medals.  EVERYBODY GETS A TREAT AT HAUNTED HEADLOCKS!!! ​

BTC POWER SERIES TRIPLE THREAT

We challenge OPEN wrestlers in the 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 15U divisions to capture Gold in all three of the BTC Power Series tournaments:

 

10/30: Haunted Headlocks

11/13: West Penn Duals Open (through partnership with Tyrant Wrestling & OMP Wrestling Club)

12/12: SnowFALL Scuffle

The three championships must be earned in the same age grouping.  (15U Wrestlers can wrestle 14U or 16U, whichever is appropriate according to their age, to qualify for a 15U Triple Threat Championship).  The championships can be earned in different weight classes.  Only 1st Place winners in an OPEN division at the 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 15U age groups are eligible.

Triple-threat winners will be presented with a very special BTC PRIZE PACKAGE at the December 12th event including a Tournament T-Shirt, BTC Beach Towel & a 3-FOOT Trophy.

AGE PROTESTS

Age Protest fee is $50, and must be directed to the Tournament Director. All age protests must be made before protested wrestler's second match. Birth certificate must be available for all wrestlers in case of a protest.  Remember, tournament age is as-of 12/31/2021.  However old the wrestler is on December 31, 2021 is the wrestler's age.

REFUND POLICY

Refunds should be requested via e-mail to btcwrestlingusa@gmail.com prior to October 20, 2021.  Refunds will be issued on a case-by-case basis, typically for injury or illness only.  The refund amount will equal the registration fee minus a $10 processing fee.  The processing fee covers the transaction costs charged by our vendors associated with receiving your registration and issuing the refund.  Refund requests submitted after October 19, 2021 will not be approved in any case.  Refunds will be issued within 30 days of approval.
